| Einstein |
How can the icon of modern Physics be wrong? Well believe it or not, tens of thousands of physicists, engineers, scientists, and students around the world believe very strongly that Einstein is not correct. This does not Diminish Einstein in any way. His equation E=mc^2 and his Nobel Prize work on the Photo-Electric effect are still brilliant. It is simply time to move onto a greater truth.
At the Gut Level (Intuition)
I have said, "Special Relativity is like smoking, no one likes it at first, is starts because of peer pressure, it is addictive, it is bad for you, and it is very hard to quit once you start." Ask yourself these questions:
- What is the physical justification for time, mass, and length to change simply because of my frame of reference?
- Why is the speed of light a barrier?
- Why is it so hard to show Einstein correct?
- Why are the explanations for Special Relativity so impossible to understand?
And most important, will Einstein be proven wrong in the future?
Every student who has studied Einstein's Special Relativity have asked themselves these questions. Most however have fallen prey to peer pressure. But some small self-motivated, independent thinkers have actually tried and examine Einstein's theories and find them to be full of paradox, absurdities, and lots of "non-evidence".

Supposed Evidence
First, we must remember that there are two very distinct theories of Einstein: the SPECIAL and the GENERAL theory of relativity. So proof that Einstein is right, must be put into one category or the other. Below are just some of the more famous examples.
SPECIAL RELATIVITY
Time, mass, and length change depending on your relative speed.
GENERAL RELATIVITY
Space and time are bent creating gravity.
Special Relativity: Atomic Clocks
Most famous of the experiments that supposedly shows atomic clocks slowing down when put onto planes. Dr. Domina Spencer, a gifted mathematician from the University of Connecticut, received the raw data from on of the original scientists who performed the experiment. In a formal presentation in Flagstaff Arizona, at a SWARM/AAAS Meeting in June of 1996, she presented her analysis. She said (paraphrased), "that the data published for the Hafele-Keating experiment could have only be fabricated to show favorable evidence". No one has questioned this any further since the momentum of the experiment has become more legend than fact. (D. Spencer, Shama, & P. Mann: Analysis of the Hafele-Keating Experiment.)

Special RelativityL: Muon Decay
Muons, being unstable subatomic particles, always decay - typically after a lifetime of about 2 microseconds. There is supposed evidence that Einstein's Special Relativity delays the decay process. This is not a simple subject. For those of you who are physicists, you can click here and read all about it.

General Relativity Evidence: Gravity bends light
This phenomena is well-documented.. But other explanations and models of gravity predict the same thing. A big difference is that Einstein's theory is simply a mathematical description of gravity, much like Newton's. The problem is that there is no "mechanism" given for gravity. Autodynamics has some ideas on that subject.

General Relativity Evidence: Black Holes
Black holes, wormholes, and other assorted predictions by Einstein are yet to be proven conclusively. Dense objects certainly exist in the universe, the idea though of "pin-points" or what physicists call "singularities" are very much a result of the "infinite" characteristics of Einstein's equations as they approach the speed of light.

Other “Non-Believers”
The Natural Philosophy Alliance (NPA) is an organization dedicated to open-minded exploration for new ideas in the area of study usually known as natural science - including physics, cosmology and astronomy. Although not officially endorsed by the SAA, this society is doing critical work on debunking much of the "proof" for Special Relativity.
